  12.                        Are you a LAN administrator looking for a way
  13.                   of providing easy-to-use, inexpensive access to
  14.                   files centrally stored on your LAN?  Do you have
  15.                   files that would be very useful to your users if
  16.                   they could just locate them?  Do some of your
  17.                   users faint at the sight of a DOS prompt?  PC-
  18.                   Access may be just the program for you.

  20.                        PC-Access is designed to provide access to
  21.                   all kinds of files, including text, programs, and
  22.                   data.  It allows users with little or no computer
  23.                   knowledge to find the files they need, and browse
  24.                   through them or copy them to their private
  25.                   storage.  At the same time it is specifically
  26.                   designed to provide almost no maintenance burden
  27.                   on you.

  29.                        PC-Access is "Shareware."  This means that
  30.                   you are free to try out, test, and evaluate the
  31.                   software at no cost.  It also means that if you
  32.                   decide that PC-Access meets your needs, the
  33.                   licensing fees are very low, since you deal
  34.                   directly with the author.

  36.                        The enclosed disk contains the PC-Access
  37.                   program and documentation.  Please read the
  38.                   documentation before running PC-Access.  Your
  39.                   users won't need the documentation, but you'll
  40.                   need to understand how PC-Access works to set up
  41.                   the centrally-located files.

  43.                        We hope you'll find PC-Access useful in your
  44.                   environment.  It's specifically meant to provide a
  45.                   simple solution to a simple problem, one for which
  46.                   commercially-available software is too complex and
  47.                   too costly for many sites.
